Community Quilt Show
The Milwaukie Center Quilt Show is a Community Quilt Show. It is not affiliated with a guild, and anyone may enter quilts in the show.
All quilts, old and new, are welcome, appreciated, and *Not Judged*.
Share your quilts ... Enter your favorite quilt, the quilt your grandmother made, or the one you have that you wish you had made. You don't have to be a quilt maker -- being a quilt owner qualifies you to enter a quilt in this show.
Barbara NeillFeatured Artist
The Featured Artist this year is Barbara Neill.
Have you noticed the variety of quilts being created now?
The quilting community is vibrant, generous, & creative which has blurred the lines between fiber artists and quilters and has allowed for the strong emergence of art quilts.
Today's quilter has a wide range of styles, techniques, tools, and materials available to her/him.
Come, listen and see how a fiber artist incorporates a variety of materials to achieve the effect she wants in her work.
These quilts are unique.
The lecture is Free with $5 admission fee to the 22nd Annual Airing of the Quilts with over 100 quilts showing the full-range of traditional- through art-quilts on display.
Lecture 11:00 - Noon on Saturday. (Fee is included with quilt show admission.)
There will be a question-and-answer session with Barbara Neill following lunch.
